Glass coffee jars for an Armenian premium coffee brand

An Armenian premium coffee brand needed custom coffee jars (square/round) for their roasted coffee beans and ground coffee products. They required that the jar, lid, and liner suit their automated lidding machines for reliable mass production.

When the first batch of components was tested, the lid inner diameter and the liner size were incompatible with the lidding machine’s compression settings, resulting in liner misalignment, loose closures, and localized gaps. Despite the glass jar itself meeting the requirements, the inconsistent lidding could affect overall lidding performance and production progress.

Our technical team analyzed the test videos, equipment specifications and compression stroke provided by the customer and re-assessed the fit between the lid inner diameter, liner outer diameter and thickness. By adjusting lid internal dimensional tolerance and liner size and conducting multiple rounds of lidding and sealing tests, liner misalignment and uneven force distribution during high-speed lidding were reduced.

The optimized lids and liners are well-suited to the customer’s lidding equipment, reducing liner misalignment, loose closures, and localized gaps. The customer then resumed mass production.
