Custom 1,000 ml glass bottles for a mineral water supplier in Cape Verde
Original plastic bottle
3D-printed model
Final product
A mineral water supplier in Cape Verde wanted to upgrade their product packaging from plastic to glass bottles. We received an order for custom 1,000ml glass bottles that retain the complex shape and surface of the original plastic bottle and are designed with a widely used 28 mm ROPP neck finish.
The complex diamond-shaped geometry poses challenges to glass forming and is prone to issues such as localized glass accumulation, uneven glass distribution, and inconsistent wall thickness between the bottle body and shoulder, making it difficult to fully replicate the three-dimensional form of the plastic bottle.
Our engineering, design and production teams analyzed the original plastic bottle and 3D-printed models based on files provided, and then made drawings for the glass bottle.
After the design was approved by the customer, we began mold development and sample production. After multiple rounds of mold trials and refinement, glass distribution in irregularly shaped areas and wall thickness uniformity were improved.
After the sample was verified by the customer, we began mass production and delivered the order on time.
The customer, satisfied with the sample, approved the order for mass production.
The final product met bottle shape, capacity, and neck finish requirements specified by the customer.
